There are several services that offer free web space for genealogy pages. I don't use any of them, so I can't recommend one over the other, but I can point you to a few:

bulletUSGenNet--the Biggest Little Safe-Site Server on the Internet!
bullet RootsWeb Agreement for Free Webspace Accounts (Florida & Kentucky State pages are there)
bulletRead up on the pros and cons of free servers in Eastman's Online Genealogy Newsletter, 12 September 2001

bulletIf none of these suit you, or you want a site that is cheap and supports FrontPage 2002 server extensions, please read below.
In February the Project was moved to a new web hosting company so the National Database could be placed in MS SQL 2000. One of the side benefits of the new service is the ability to provide sub-domains and email addresses for the State and County Coordinators. I am unable to provide these services for free at this time, but the charge for them is very small. The details are as follows
bulletServer Space
bulletYou can have a domain name that is specific to your state or county. As an example, the URL for the PA State Page would be http://Pennsylvania.GeoGen.Org. The URL for Dauphin County, PA would be http://PADauphin.GeoGen.Org.
bulletYou will have total control over that space
bulletThere is no set limit on how much space you can use, but it is restricted to US GeoGen Project related materials.
bulletYou can have either FrontPage 2002 access (you don't need FP2002, any version works) or FTP access.
bulletEmail Account
bulletYou can also have a US GeoGen Project ™ email account. As an example, the PA State Coordinator email address would be Pennsylvania@GeoGen.Org and the Dauphin County, PA County Coordinator email would be PADauphin@geogen.org
bulletYou have full POP3 mailbox capabilities
bulletState Coordinators can have a full web interface for managing your mailboxes plus LDAP access.
bulletIf you are a multi-county coordinator, you can have multiple email addresses with one account.
bulletThe format will be a bit different. Your main account would be something like bob@geogen.org. Your other accounts would be like Bob.PADauphi@GeoGen.Org, etc. The sub mailbox has a restriction to 8 characters. Your main mail box has to be at least 3 characters. You only need one email account even if you host a state and several counties.
bulletThe cost for all this is as follows
bulletSub-domain and email account - $2.00 per month
bulletAnnual $24 or semi-annual $12
bulletEmail account only - $1.50 per month
bulletAnnual $18 or semi-annual $9
bulletSub-domain only - $1.75 per month
bulletAnnual $21 or semi-annual $11
bulletMonthly billings are not available, only Annual Plan or Semi-Annual Plan
bulletPayments can only be made through PayPal.
bulletFor information and to make a request, email National@geogen.org
bulletAccounts will not have any restrictions as to attachments or number of messages, but I reserve the right to place a restriction on accounts holders that are being abusive. ABSOLUTELY NO SPAMMING will be permitted using these accounts.
bulletUserID (Main Account ID)
User Identification (UserID) may be from 3 to 30 characters long and must consist of alphanumeric, '_','-' and periods.
bulletPassword
Passwords may be from 4 to 30 characters long and cannot contain spaces.
