Drake has revealed that he was in limbo after taking a DNA test to prove he was the father of his son Adonis, but having the results come back inconclusive.

The God’s Plan rapper used his 2017 album Scorpion to confirm that he had secretly fathered a child with model Sophie Brussaux after a brief romance.

On the track March 14, Drake explained how Sophie fell pregnant after sleeping together a couple of times.

The revelation came as a shock to fans who wondered why Drake, 33, didn’t share the life-changing news sooner.

But according to Drake, real name Aubrey Graham, it was all down to the DNA test.

Speaking to Rap Radar in an epic two-hour interview, Drizzy said: ‘To be honest with you, I did a DNA test for my son and it came back to us and it said the DNA test got ruined in transit and they couldn’t be 100 percent sure that that was my son or not.’

He added: ‘So, I was in a really weird pending situation where I didn’t want to go tell the world that that was my son and it wasn’t.’

News of Drake’s secret child first came to light in the midst of his feud with Pusha T, who revealed it on a diss track taking their beef to another level.

Drake admits he ‘tips his hat to the chess move’ that Pusha T played in making it public, hailing him a ‘genius’.

Addressing his son for the first time, Drake went viral after rapping on March 14: ‘I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid.’

Yep, a real head-scratcher.

Adonis, two, lives in France with his mother Sophie but Drake is believed to make efforts in spending time with the toddler regularly. In October, he hosted a lavish party at his mansion to celebrate Adonis’ second birthday.

But as he focuses on fatherhood and his unstoppable music career, Drake isn’t prioritising looking for love right now.

‘I love my space, I love my work, and I love my routine,’ he explained.

‘And for me to break that for somebody, it would just have to be a really special person that fits into that puzzle, and that is supportive of the things I’m doing.

‘It’d have to be somebody that I get along with so much to the point that when we’re separate, I’m feeling like I can’t function properly without their presence.’

Drake, who previously dated Rihanna, went on to explain that he’s ‘come across it a few times’ but has struggled to maintain these relationships ‘for whatever reason’.

And then comes the best analogy of a partner we’ll definitely be using in the future: ‘I’m the captain of a ship, and I look behind me and I see a lot of people on board. Full steam ahead.

‘That’s just how I have to keep rocking for right now. Hopefully I can find somebody that can just stand beside me at the wheel and help me steer while we keep the journey going as opposed to me having to pull over because that person is getting seasick.’
